The Goddess of Learning Saraswati is given local touch by the artists of Mithila as the goddess on the swan is being painted in some prominent colours. The women paint a goddess that is close to their hearts. Their day-to-day life gets the upper hand than the mythological aspects in these paintings. The borders of the paintings are beautifully painted with some fishes. Indigo, red, yellow and green colours are prominently used in the painting.
