Once when the gopis in Vrindaban were taking bath in the river Yamuna, Lord Krishna stole their clothes and the gopis were praying for their clothes. The beautiful Madhubani painting depicts the scene in a nice manner and the Lord Krishna is painted playing his flute creating a universal tune. He is seated on the branch of a tree and his body is being painted indigo. The peacocks have also been painted beautifully. The begging female gopis have also been given a lively treatment in the Madhubani painting.
