The incarnation of Lord Vishnu, the Lord Krishna has an intimate relationship with the cows in Vrindavan. He spent his childhood herding the cows in Gakul. The figure is shown in the posture of playing the flute. The Lord has some beautiful carvings in his lower part of the body. The headgear, the garlands, the drapery, the legs and even the cow are treated with equal importance to all the aspects of the figure. The figure with crossed leg reflects a sense of gracefulness.
