The wooden statuette of Goddess Lakshmi is chiseled out of wood giving the figure a rough appearance. The lower part of the goddess is heavily decorated whereas the upper part is left undecorated. The bare breasts of the Goddess are quite prominent. Lakshmis is the goddess of wealth and is worshipped for more wealth by the Hindus. Her eyes are half closed and the face reveals a sense of gracefulness. |
