The beautiful wooden figure of Lord Vishnu and his consort Lakshmi is given a spectacular and refine treatment with some exquisite carvings and designs on it. Lord Vishnu is one of the Trinity Gods in Hinduism, the other two being Lord Brahma and Shiva and He is responsible for the preservation of the Universe. The Lord and His wife Lakshmi are seated on a lotus and they are surrounded by a big aura. A seep sense of respect and gravity as well as grandeur is manifest in the beautiful wooden work. In order to preserve mankind, Lord Vishnu is said to have incarnated ten times at different point of time when the universe is in turmoil.
