The calm and gentle stone figure of Lord Shiva, one of the Trinity Gods in Hinduism, the other two being Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu, is given a refine and detail treatment with some exquisite carvings on it. Lord Shiva is one of the most-important Gods in Hinduism and He is responsible for the destruction of the universe. But destruction also has an element of positivism as destruction is the immediate prelude to regeneration. The composed and calm face of the Lord is finely ornate and He is wearing a well-carved tiger skin. A sense of accomplishment and glory is manifest on His face. The Lord is shown blessing His devotees with his one hand.
