The three-headed figure of the Almighty Dattatreya is given a refine and spectacular treatment with a greater degree of finesse. The cow is also given a minute treatment.

Lord Dattatreya embodies the Vedic Trinity-- the unity of Lord Brahma (the Creator), Lord Vishnu (the Preserver and Maintainer) and Lord Shiva (the Destroyer). He symbolizes the constant operations of creation, preservation and destruction all through our time. So Lord Dattatreya is the omnipresent, omnipotent and omniscient Lord Who, is beyond form and has taken every form and is ubiquitous throughout all Creation.

The Lord is the supreme source of all wisdom. He is the fulfillment of every spiritual goal.

He is the giver of Knowledge, longing to give everything away to sincere seekers after Truth. Indeed, He has even given His own form to those, such as Shirdi Sai Baba, who have completely surrendered at His feet.
