The goddess of learning and music Saraswati is being given a nice and detail portrayal. She is carved out of soft stone with the swan, her vehicle, by her side. The gracefulness and feminine  nature in the image is a testimony of the way the sculptor has carved out the figure from soft stone. She is wearing lot of ornaments and her face is reflective of her accomplishment.
