The dazzling statue of the Vishnu in his virat form (omnipresent ) that he shows up in front of Arjuna at the battle field of Kurukshetra is a masterpiece of marble sculpture. Carved out of a single block of white marble, the figure shows some beautiful carvings of golden works and the smiling faces of the godheads.

In the Bhagavad Gita, part of the epic Mahabharata, there is a point in the discourse between Arjuna and Krishna wherein Arjuna asks the Lord for a vision of his true form. Krishna grants this vision, both glorious and terrifying, in which Arjuna sees the entire universe inside Krishna. This great form of Krishna is called virat-rupa (omnipresent or vast form).

The hands of the godheads as well as their headgears have some beautiful golden works on them. The yellow and green drapery is also impressive.
