The beautiful Batik painting depicts the Lord of Destruction Shiva (also called Mahesh) in an attractive manner. One of the Trinity Gods, the two other being Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva is one of the most important gods in Hindu mythology. He is holding a Shank on his one hand, the trident on another, the rudraksh garland on another and the fourth hand is on his knee. Seated on a lotus, the imposing figure is yielding a sense of devotion and respect.
