In this beautiful brass figure of the Goddess Durga, the artist has shown lot of acumen and a passion for excellence. Here the goddess is shown overpowering Mahishasur with her weapon. Goddess Durga is worshipped across the country and Durga Puja is one of the most popular festivals for the people of North India (especially people of Bengal). Her idols are worshipped for three days and then immersed in water bodies. The goddess was created out of the combined powers and forces of all gods and goddesses to eliminate Mahishasur, the demon who wrought havoc on Earth and heaven. Eventually, Durga killed the demon and the killing is symbolised as a victory of the good over the evils since then. During Durga Puja pandals are organised where nicely decorated idols of Goddess Durga, Mahishasur, Ganesha and other gods are placed and are immersed on the last day of the festival.

One of the most widely worshipped Hindu deities, Lord Ganesha is worshipped first before beginning any ritual. He is Vighnavinashanaya (Destroyer of all obstacles); Vigneshwara: Lord of all obstacles; Vinayaka: The Supreme Lord; Vishwamukha: Master of the universe and Vishwaraja: King of the world.

This exquisite brass idol of Lord Venugopala is a fine instance of ancient Indian brass art. The idol depicts lord Krishna playing flute and seemingly lost in the melody of the music. Description
The beautiful brass figure of Garuda is nicely carved out with a deep sense of finesse. Garuda is a Hindu divinity and is the mount (vahana) of the Lord Vishnu. Normally, Garuda is depicted as having the golden body of a strong man with a white face, red wings, and an eagle's beak and with a crown on his head. This ancient deity was said to be massive, large enough to block out the sun. Garuda is known as the eternal sworn enemy of the Nāga serpent race and known for feeding exclusively on snakes, such behavior may have referred to the actual Short-toed Eagle of India. The image of Garuda is often used as the charm or amulet to protect the bearer from snake attack and its poison, since the king of birds is an implacable enemy and "devourer of serpent". Garudi Vidya is the mantra against snake poison to remove all kinds of evil.
