DESCRIPTION:
Great savants of astrology have enunciated various rules, theories & hypothesis about various permutation and combinations of planets in a native’s chart. The 12 houses represent the journey of a native from the cradle to the grave. No two natives (and their horoscopes) are identical, even the twins differ. Why & how it happens is to be understood & explained by an astrologer. The basic rule is to proceed from known to unknown to understand the highly complex treatises. This necessitates the availability of a large number of horoscopes on which the various tools of astrology can be tested & understood. The book provides this basic necessity of large number of keen students & research scholars of astrology. This book provides horoscopes of nine divine deities of different religions and 756 horoscopes of different natives of different times and of different nations. 415 natives out of them are alive as on date. To facilitate proper identification, the charts of natives are given in alphabetical order. To facilitate further, separate index have been given Lagna-wise and profession-wise. Total numbers of vocations have been identified as 27. Each horoscope gives longitudes in degree & minutes, birth details of the native, balance dasha at birth, date & mode of death where applicable & available and few important events of each native. The scholars can derive much more useful information from the data given in the book. It is expected that large astrological fraternity will welcome the book in its present form.

DESCRIPTION:
Brihat Jataka has over 407 Shlokas. The first in this book explains the technical terms and concepts. The second explains the characteristics, positions, relations, metals, qualities, places and natures of the planets. The third chapter deals with the births of birds, animals, insects and trees. This deserves an elaborate treatment and long research. The fourth chapter dealing with Nisheka refers to women’s conception, and other factors. Peculiarities of birth and Balarishta are taken up in the next two chapters. The seventh and eighth chapters explain Amsa and Pinda Ayurdayas. These have greater validity than the popularly used dasa systems in determining longevity. The ninth gives a brief account of Ashtakavarga. The tenth is about Profession. The results of the conjunctions of planets are explained in chapter 14th. The next one is about Renunciation. Influences of the constellations, lunar effects in the different signs, results of planets in various signs, effects of the planetary aspects, and effects of the planets in various Bhavas (houses) are dealt with in the next five chapters. Some special combinations are given in the twenty first chapters. Miscellaneous items are taken up in the next chapter. The 23rd chapter deals with misfortune. 24th Chapters is about Female Horoscopy which finds elaborate treatment in Saravali. The 25th chapter is about death. How to erect lost or unknown horoscopes is given a fairly good treatment in chapter 26. The 27th is about Decanates. The last one numerates the contents of the text. DESCRIPTION:
Preface
The genesis of this book owes to a suggestion made by my grand-daughter, Ramya, during one of her vacations in Mumbai, for teaching her the rudiments of astrology through a series of e-mails. I was reminded of my college days when I used to sit with my father, (late Sri. R.M. Narayana Shastri), and getting briefed by him on the subject, simultaneously noting down important points. Over time, these notes were supplemented, with information gathered from classical texts. Without the basic knowledge acquired through my father, I could not have learnt the subject by merely reading books. It was therefore my feeling that, while writing a book on astrology, I should keep in view the difficulties faced by me in comprehending basis principles. I have given references to relevant books, at appropriate places, to facilitate a deeper understanding of the subject.
For this reason I deem this to be a guide-book, rather than a comprehensive treatise on astrology. I hope, this would act as a spring board for an advanced study.
In deciding about the content of the book, I was driven by the needs expressed by my friends for basic guidelines for scrutiny of horoscopes for matrimonial compatibility, from popular websites before reference to an astrologer. They opined that, with some fundamental knowledge on the subject, they would be able to filter out horoscopes which cannot be matched, and pick only those considered suitable for detailed examination. With this in view, I have attempted to cover the basic principles and essential details relating to examination of horoscopes, study of bhavas, the yogas, dashas, and details for matrimonial compatibility to be looked into. It is not the intention that the reader will become a full-fledged astrologer by studying thi

It clearly shows how to approach astrology with a real understanding of the energies involved. Part I of the book explains how astrology can be the most valuable psychological tool for understanding oneself and others. Analyzing the scientific, philosophical, and intuitive dimensions of astrology, it is oriented toward the layman with no astrological
knowledge, astrology students and professionals, and those engaged in any form of the counseling arts.
Part II deals specifically with the interpretation and practical application of astrological factors based on the actual energies involved (air, fire, water, & earth). It presents a dynamic application of astrological knowledge that clarifies and illuminates traditional techniques and meanings by placing them in the perspective of understanding the vital energies inherent in all life processes.

The survival and sustenance of human life and all activities on this earth mainly depends on financial prosperity. A vast majority of us think of, talk about and act as per financial considerations. In 21st millennium, money is God, God is money. A high financial status automatically brings power, glory, authority, comforts and friends and covers most of the short comings. People without money lead a life of sufferings & penury unsung, unwept & unhonoured in life as well as in death.
People’s curiosity and inquisitiveness grow more and more in the quest for future financial status & life style. This brings in the necessity of divine astrological consultations which help a native to decide why, what, when, where and how one should act to get the best as per one’s past karmas & present serious efforts. Selection of an auspicious time to start a work and resort to remedial measures when things are not moving as expected are core considerations for any business.
The profession of a native is intimately related to one’s chances and degree of success in acquiring riches & wealth. The number and type of professions are far too many to be counted. The profession is a mean to achieve prosperity, but these days the end results justify the means. More and more people earn riches through dubious means passing through the phenomenon of ups and downs, rags to riches and riches to rags. Hence various professions along with these phenomenons have been discussed in detail with illustrations.

Book 'Saturn: The King Maker' unravels the king maker role of Saturn in addition to Saturn's significance in timing various vital events of life. 'Saturn: The King maker', an un parallel work on the mystiques of Saturn so far, contains 14 chapters. First two chapters deal with the introduction of Saturn as a member of the solar system and its astrological connotations. Much dreaded ruthlessness of Saturn is only a one sided picture and a fuller understanding of this Graha requires systemic study. Various information regarding Saturn, its significations, and occupations & diseases etc under Saturn's control are vividly discussed. Saturn in Puranic contexts makes an interesting reading.
Next two chapters describe in detail Saturn's placement in twelve houses and twelve signs. Introducing various dimensions of different houses of birth chart we proceed discussing the appropriate results of Saturn's position in different bhavas at the time of birth. The enigmatic Saturn renders modified results when placed in different signs or Rashis. The impact of Saturn in various signs is carefully studied. How the aspect of various planets on Saturn, and vice versa, change the results to amazing extent and how the malefic Saturn becomes benefic are the subject matter of these two important chapters.
The fifth chapter unravels the 'Different positions of Mysterious Saturn' which narrates Saturn in Ascendant and Retrograde profiles as well as brief discussion on the positions of Saturn in 12 houses: as many as 26 states of Saturn are described.
Next three chapters deal broadly with the transit of Saturn. The 6th chapter discusses about proven principles about transit of Saturn which can determine the time of marriage, accurately and exactly. The 7th chapter deals with the 'Nadi principles about Saturn's transit'; expertise in which can make one predict precisely the timing of events. And the 8th chapter 'Saturn the Great Timer' contains detail event-by-event analysis of lives of great personalities and contains various rules with regard to predicting the exact spell of time interspersed with examples to explain the rules propounded.
The chapter on 'Saturn: The King Maker' deals with crux of the theme, the most marvelous and amazing role of Saturn in elevating one to the position of King, minister, head of the state or of the industries. On the contrary, adverse disposition of Saturn brings fall from power, miseries and losses which is the point of discussion in the chapter Saturn in the 10th house: Fall from power.
Next 4 chapters shed light on the relationship of Saturn with other planets such as Sun and Jupiter which play an important role in deciding events related to marriage, progeny and profession. Thus, in totality, the book demystifies the commonly held view about Saturn's enigmatic character and describes at length its constructive role in molding the basic pattern of life. Jaimini is held in very great esteem throughout India not only for his philosophical aphorisms but for his astrological writings also. Jaiminisutras as presented in these pages deal with a system of astrology that has no parallel in the existing methods. The profundity and brevity of these sutras comprehend a vast amount of knowledge in the shortest forms possible. In the end the author remarks that all that he has written is quite true, as these truths have been propounded by the still earlier Maharshis, Pitamaha or Brahma, Vyasa, Parasara, Vasistha, Garga, Bhrigu, Surya, Chandra, Brihaspati, Sukra, Marichi, Palaha, Pulisa, Maya and other eminent scientists. The treatment of the different Bhavas, Rasis and Planets will be found a little confusing in the beginning but with some patience, diligence and practice the peculiarities of his system readily yield themselves to our comprehension. He gives various Lagnas, Hora Lagna, Ghatika Lagna, Upapada Lagna, Varnada Lagna and so forth. His Dasas are mostly founded on Rasis and Navamsas. Brahma, Rudra and Mahesvara Dasas are peculiar in these sutras. It is asserted by some that Jaiminisutras extend over eight adhyayas. However here only two chapters, in four parts each, have been explained. The masterly way in which the Maharshi has explained the Astrological principles, will surely make the students masters in this line.
