• The Trishul (Trident): Connecting her to Lord Shiva, the trident represents her absolute governance over the three states of existence: creation, preservation, and destruction. It also cuts through cosmic blockages.
• The Bow and Arrow: Represent the cosmic pull and focus. The bow acts as the transformative force over the tamasic ego, while the arrows symbolize sensory direction and control.
• The Mace (Gada): A tool representing absolute power, cosmic order, and the crushing of unrighteousness (Adharma).
• The Severed Head and Skull Bowl (Kapala): The severed head represents the total destruction of human pride and ego. The bowl collects the lifeblood, signifying the containment and neutralization of negative karmic impulses.
• The Shield / Conch Shell: Symbolizes protective spiritual warfare and the primordial vibration of cosmic creation (Aum) from which everything emerges.
