His Eightfold Path, (Atthangika-magga) was the path to enlightenment. The idea of the Eightfold Path appears in what is regarded as the first sermon of the founder of Buddhism, Siddhartha Gautama, known as the Buddha, which he delivered after his enlightenment. There he sets forth a middle way, the Eightfold Path, between the extremes of asceticism and sensual indulgence. Later, the Buddha sets forth the Four Noble Truths and identifies the fourth truth, the truth of the path, with the Eightfold Path. Each element of the path also is discussed at length in other texts.
In brief, the eight elements of the path are: (1) correct view, an accurate understanding of the nature of things, (2) correct intention, avoiding thoughts of attachment, hatred, and harmful intent, (3) correct speech, refraining from verbal misdeeds, (4) correct action, (5) correct livelihood, (6) correct effort, (7) correct mindfulness, and (8) correct concentration, single-mindedness.

Gautama Buddha was one of the most exceptional of free thinkers and religious leaders. Buddha was born as Prince Siddhartha to King Suddhodana and Queen Myaadevi in the Himalayan Kingdom of Kapilavastu in 544 BC. Sage Asita visited the palace and predicted that the baby will live to be either the greatest of kings of the greatest of saints. Frightened by the prophecy, Suddhodana took great care to ensure that the young prince was surrounded only by beauty, luxury and happiness. Years later, restless in his gilded cocoon, Siddhartha set out to explore his kingdom and was greatly moved at the state of human suffering. One fine day, he renounced the world and began a life of severe asceticism to seek an answer to life and sorrow, to seek the ultimate truth. His search led him to enlightenment that liberated and illuminated him as he pondered under a Bodhi tree. He became the Buddha at the age of 35. He realized that the body need not suffer of starve to seek the truth. He adopted the middle-path, that moderation. He returned to preach what he had learnt and experienced, and did it with compassion for his fellow beings. The noble Buddha then formed his first sangha and traveled through numerous lands for several years spreading his wisdom, reforming many kings and nobles and winning hundreds of followers. Buddha's gospel slowly spread further east, to the Asian countries, and become famous throughout the world. Today, the Buddha has followers across the world, but the largest numbers are concentrated in the South East Asian countries.

The nice figure of Lord Ganesha reveals a deep sense of sculptural excellence. His four-headed brass figure is minutely carved by infusing a sense of liveliness into it. One of the popular deities in Hindu pantheon, Lord Ganesha is worshipped first among the gods and it is also very easy to satisfy the Remover of Obstacle. There are two different stories about Ganesha's birth. According to the first story, Parvati created Ganesha out of dirt off her body while having a bath and set him to guard her door while she finishes her bath. Lord Shiva who had moved out came back. But as Ganesha didn't know Shiva, stopped him from entering. Shiva got angry and a fierce battle ensued between the two. Shiva severed the head of Ganesha. Parvati was enraged and Shiva promised Ganesha will bring him back to life. The devas, who went in search of a head facing north of a dead person could manage only the head of an elephant. Shiva fixed the elephant's head on the child and brought him back to life.
As per the other legend, Ganesha was created by Shiva and Parvati on request of the Devas, to be a vighnakartaa (obstacle-creator) in the path of rakshasas (demonic beings), and a vighnahartaa (obstacle-averter) to help the Devas.
The immense popularity of Lord Ganesha in Hindu religion can be gauged from the fact that he is known by as many as 108 names.

The beautiful brass figure of Dhanvantari, the father of Ayurveda, is given a refine and minute treatment with some nice carvings on it. The tall and standing figure of the Lord reveals a deep sense of accomplishment and gracefulness. Lord Dhanvantari is viewed as the very incarnation of God Vishnu. He appears in the Vedas and Puranas as the physician of the gods, he is regarded as the source of Ayurveda. It is common practice in Hinduism for worshipers to pray to Dhanvantari seeking his blessings for sound health for themselves and/or others. Dhanvantari first appeared during the great churning of the cosmic milk ocean to deliver amrta (nectar) for the nourishment of the demigods. Lord Dhanvantari was "dressed in yellow garments and wore brightly polished earrings made of pearl. The tips of His hair were anointed with oil and His chest was very broad. His body had all good features, and He was stout and strong as a lion. In His hand, He carried a jug of nectar." The demons stole the jug of nectar and Lord Vishnu appeared as Mohini, a beautiful woman, who fascinated the demons and recovered the nectar from them. Dhanvantari’s second Appearance ccurred at the beginning of the reign of the current Manu in the second Dvapara-yuga . Lord Vishnu foretold at the time of the churning that Dhanvantari would appear again in the human society and be worshipped by human beings. He would also teach them the science of Ayurveda. Dhanvantari at that time was residing in the heavens and Lord Indra seeing the misery of human beings afflicted by disease on earth, requested the Lord to teach Ayurveda to the human race.
