Description

A beautiful painting depicting God Hanuman holding a Gada ( Mace). Hanumanj ji is an avatar or incarnation of Lord Shiva and is provider of courage, hope, knowledge, intellect and devotion. The Mace or Gada carried on the right hand of Hanuman is a symbol of self-sovereignty, authority of governance and the power to rule.According to Yogi Khem Jokhoo; the "mace" or "gada" that Hanuman is adorned with is not a physical weapon, but it is symbolic of one who is the embodiment of moral and spiritual values, a specialty or gift from God, granted to those who has made elevated spiritual effort and attained "self-sovereignty", that is, one who has total control over the five senses as well as the five vices of anger, greed, ego, lust and attachment.

The spectacular brass figure of the Lord Hanuman, the monkey-god in Hinduism, is nicely carved out with a greater sense of finesse and excellence. A true masterpiece itsel, the brass figure reveals a deep sense of devotion and accomplishment as the Lord is standing with His folded hands. The figure reveals a great amount of smoothness. Lord Hanuman is a great devotee of Lord Ram and played a significant role in rescuing Sita from the clutches of demon king Ravana. Whereas the Lord is wearing a loincloth, the headgear is marked by striking carvings on it.

Description
Madhubani painting or Mithila painting is a style of Indian painting this is a form of traditional art practiced in northern Bihar, known as the Mithilanchal. Originating from wall paintings or decorations and primarily practiced by rural women, this art form depicts nature and mythological tales, which have been passed on through generations in the form of simplistic graphics in two-dimensional perspective. Painting is done with fingers, twigs, brushes, nib-pens, and matchsticks, using natural dyes and pigments, and is characterized by eye-catching geometrical patterns. The paintings are traditionally based on mythological, folk themes and pastoral symbols. The central themes of most paintings are love, valor, devotion and fertility, though the approach may vary. So it is common to find scenes of courtship and marriages and symbols of fertility and prosperity like fish, parrot, elephant, turtle, sun, moon, bamboo tree, lotus, etc. in prominence. The highlight of the glorious heritage of Madhubani paintings is the exceptional uses of colours with earthy undertones along with brilliant workmanship.
