The Isvarapratyabhijnakarika IPK of Utpaladeva is the foundation stone of the Pratyabhijna school and constitutes the main theoretical framework of the Trika. According to Abhinavagupta the IPK and the vrtti thereon were composed by Utpaladeva at the same time.
