Description:
It is an account of the life and teaching of Sri Ramana Maharshi, which has a special relevance to our age with its dominant mood of wistful reluctant skepticism as Dr S. Radhakrishnan observes. It also outlines Hinduism based on the Indian scriptures, which is essentially spiritualSri Ramana Gita without ceasing to be rational and ethical.
The author has packed into this small volume all of the essential information relating to the teachings of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi(1879-1950),the great Indian sage. The life of Sri Ramana Mahrshi fills us us with wonder. As a teenager, hardly seventeen,he realised the self through a spontaneous act of Self-enquiry without any conscious effort on his part,or any trainining imparted by a teacher. He left his home in 1896,came to Arunachala (Tiruvannamalai)where he lived as an all-renouncing sage,in a state of continuous self-absorption for a period of fifty four years until his mahanirvana in 1950. The instructions given by Sri Raman to his early devotees are all portrayed by the author. They have a lasting value. Also included are Paul Brunton's experiences. Sri Maharshi's message is that self-knowledge is not something to be acquired afresh. It is only becoming aware of one's own natural state of Pure Being, through self-enquiry. The spirit of this simple but profound message has been captured by the author in his presentation.

Description:
Taking cue from the Ulladu Narpadu and its supplement written by Ramana Maharshi, this book reflects on the sage’s philosophy of existence. It is considered as the quintessential scripture of Ramana Maharshi.
"Under whatever name we worship It,It leads us on to knowledge of the nameless, formless Absolute.
Yet to see one's Self in the Absolute,to subside into it and be one with it,this is the true knowledge of the truth."
This is a typical translation by the Author of the Tamil original verse,Ulladu narpadu (Forty Verses of Existence) authored by Sri Ramana Maharshi.Sri Ramana hardly contributed any writings and probably this is the only major work. His Philosophy and Spirituality were more expounded by clearing the doubts of devotees by way of Questions and Answers.

Description:
It is a pictorial presentation with acecdotes from Bhagavan Ramana’s life.
In the 1980’s, the monthly journal brought out by Ramana Maharshi Centre for Learning, Bangalore, The Ramana Way, published a series of anecdotes from the life of Sri Bhagavan and reminiscences of Old Devotees, under the title: Purushottama Ramana. Its author, V. Ganesan, has had the unenviable golden opportunity of staying close to those elderly devotees of Sri Bhagavan, who had dedicated their lives at the sacred feet of the Great Master; and recording those precious gems. This series later was brought out in book form under the same title: Purushottama Ramana. The Editor of The Ramana Way, Kumari Sarada, aptly wrote in her Preface: “Our readers would eagerly await the fresh anecdote about Bhagavan Ramana in every issue, penned by V. Ganesan’s vivid narrative style. He chose the verses of the eighteenth chapter of Sri Ramana Gita as points of reference, based on the description of the Master’s Glory in these verses by Kavyakantha Ganapati Muni. Some incidents, narrated by him, bring tears to the eyes, others humble our pride and present the might, the majesty of Sri Ramana.” The uniqueness of the book is that every anecdote is followed by a captivating blow-up photo of Sri Bhagavan. Infinite indeed is the beauty of each picture – the gentle smile, the majestic glance, the indrawn silence, the tender compassion! May the reader be showered with the Grace and Blessings of Sri Bhagavan, is our humble prayer to Him.

Description:
This book is a selection of Sri Ramana’s teachings arranged with beautiful photographs and is intended to help the mind turn inward and abide in the deep silence awaiting each of us.
In 1994,the first Westerner ever to visit Sri Ramana Maharshi had a profound experience and made an equally profound observation:"For half an hour I looked into the Maharshi's eyes, which never changed their expression of deep contemplation.I began to realize somewhat that the body is the temple of the Holy Ghost.I could only feel his body was not the man,it was the instrument of God--merely a sitting corpse from which God was radiating terrifically--"God radiating terrifically" is the experience of innumerable seekers who sought the Maharshi's presence then and now.The Divine presence continues to bring hope, solace, faith, inspiration, and genuine spiritual experience to people of all cultures and creeds. And if the mirror of our soul is not adequately clean to perfectly reflect that eternal Divine Presence, the Maharshi has also provided us with a simple, direct teaching to practice for opening our heart to the experience of the one self. In preparing this pictorial book,Bharati Mirchandani has exquisitely harmonized both these incomparable aspects of Sri Ramana Maharshi--his presence and his teachings.Together with portraits, which reperesent the many enhancing divine moods of the sage, scenes from the captivating environs of Arunachala, his blessed abode, have been interpolated to create a work of unususal beauty and profoundity. This subtle art of weaving together photos and quaotations in complementary manner delightfully brings home the Master's message. All the other titles related to sri Ramana Maharshi are best sellers on amazon and this book is a must for every follower.

It details the relationship of Ramana Maharshi with different animals and his compassion and love for them and how they reacted to his care and love for them. He could easily communicate the animal kingdom.
Sri Ramana Maharshi (Tamil: ) (December 30, 1879 April 14, 1950), born Venkataraman Iyer, was a Hindu sage. He was born to a Tamil-speaking Brahmin family in Tiruchuzhi, Tamil Nadu. After having attained liberation at the age of 16, he left home for Arunachala, a mountain considered sacred by Hindus, at Tiruvannamalai, and lived there for the rest of his life. Although born a Brahmin, after having attained moksha he declared himself an "Atiasrami", a Sastraic state of unattachment to anything in life and beyond all caste restrictions. The ashram that grew around him, Sri Ramana Ashram is situated at the foothill of Arunchala, to the west to the pilgrimage town of Tiruvannamalai. Sri Ramana maintained that the purest form of his teachings was the powerful silence which radiated from his presence and quieted the minds of those attuned to it. He gave verbal teachings only for the benefit of those who could not understand his silence. His verbal teachings were said to flow from his direct experience of Consciousness (Atman) as the only existing reality. When asked for advice, he recommended self-enquiry as the fastest path to moksha. Though his primary teaching is associated with Non-dualism, Advaita Vedanta, and Jnana yoga, he recommended Bhakti to those he saw were fit for it, and gave his approval to a variety of paths and practices The devotees who witnessed Bhagavan Ramana's effortless and natural sense of equality and his treating all beings alike including animals, birds and plants have expressed their sense of wonder and have affirmed that they had not seen such an instance eleswhere in their lives. In Bhagavan's days, his Ashram was like an ancient Rishi ashram where birds and animals lived fearlessly and in friendship. Bhagavan's relationship with animals is mainly to inspire us to respect the entire creation of the Lord without discrimination. Sri Ramana Maharshi was one of the greatest sages India produced with a huge following all over the world. With "Self Enquiry" as his main plank he inspired many to get out of the path of "blind following." Many books of his teachings are popular on amazon website.
