The brass figure of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada (September 1, 1896–November 14, 1977) is intricately designed yielding a sense spiritual attainment to the saint. He is in a seating posture and the drapery, his hands, facial appearance all have been given a minute treatment by the sculptor. He was born as Abhay Charan De, in Kolkata and studied at the Scottish Churches College, Calcutta. In his later years, as a Vaishnava sadhu, he became an influential communicator of Gaudiya Vaishnava theology to India and specifically to the West through his founding of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (popularly called "Hare Krishna") in 1966. He has been described as a charismatic leader and was successful in acquiring followers in the United States, Europe, and elsewhere.

Swaminarayan is also known as Ghanshyam Pande, Ghanshyam Maharaj, Shreeji Maharaj, Hari Krishna Maharaj and Shri Hari.
Swaminarayan was born Ghanshyam Pande in Chhapaiya, Uttar Pradesh India in 1781. In 1792, he left home to undertake a 7-year pilgrimage across various places in India and he adopted the name Nilkanth Varni. Finally, he settled in Gujarat in 1799, where the preacher propounded his doctrine. In 1799, he was initiated into the Uddhav Sampraday by his guru, Ramanand Swami and given the name Sahajanand Swami.
After Ramamand Swami's death, Sahajanand Swami held a gathering and gave the Swaminarayan Mahamantra and he came to be known as Swaminarayan and was believed to be god by his followers. The Uddhav Sampraday came to be known as the Swaminarayan Sampraday.
The followers of Swaminarayan Sampraday believe in Vedic scriptures.
It is believed that on the 1st of June, 1830, Swaminarayan gathered all his followers and announced decision to take Samaadhi and did so after making this announcement. He was cremated according to hindu rites at Laxmi Wadi in Gadhada.
