Description
This macrocosmic representation of Lord Hanuman in brass is a fine instance of the creative excellence that Indian brass art is renowned for. As folklore has it, Lord Hanuman assumed this five-faced form during Ramayana war in order to kill Ahiravana, a sibling of demon Ravana. It is said that when Lord Hanuman was out to rescue Lord Rama and Lakshmana from the clutches of the demon Ahiravana, he was confronted with the impossible task of extinguishing five burning lamps placed in different directions, all at the same time. Lord Hanuman assumed the “Panchmukha Virat Roop” or five faced body to accomplish the task, thus killing Ahiravana.

Description
The beautiful figure of the goddess Tara is being given a refine and detail treatment. A Tantric figure, she is worshipped both by the Hindus and the Buddhsits in India and Tibet. Tara is quite well known to the West through Her Tibetan manifestations. She occupies in the Hindu tantrik pantheon. She is the second of the ten Mahavidyas. The figure is shown in a seated posture. She has an important role in Tantrik cosmology because mantra, words, music are considered to be the very source of the cosmos. As Matrika Shakti She deludes the entire human race with Her Maya of letters, and words. This has been expressed in a Tantrik form, but, practically speaking, it is sufficient to say that much hypnosis (Maya) comes about via the medium of words. Millions of people have lost their lives through this power. Thus Her power and place in the Tantrik pantheon is quite justified, and Her mantra is described as a Siddha-Vidya, the cause of Maya and Englamouring. The background GIF here is the bija mantra of Sarasvati, Aim.

The beautiful brass figure of Lord Varaha (boar) is given a minute treatment. Lord Visnu in His Varaha Avatar incarnates as a boar. A demon Hiranyaksha had prayed for Lord Brahma and was awarded a boon that no beast neither man nor god could kill him. But somehow from the list of beasts the name of boar was missing. This proved to be his lacunae. He then started a campaign of plunder across the worlds. He pushed the world to the Pataal loka, or the under of the sea. He stole the Vedas, the holy scriptures from the Lord Brahma, while he was asleep and performed huge atrocities. To retrieve the Vedas and to save the world the Lord Vishnu assumed the role of a boar and brought out the earth from the under of the ocean, using its two tusks. It then killed Hiranyaksha and retrieved the Vedas from the demon and brought it back to the safe custody of the Lord Brahma.

Description
The dazzling statue of the Vishnu in his virat form (omnipresent ) that he shows up in front of Arjuna at the battle field of Kurukshetra is a masterpiece of marble sculpture. Carved out of a single block of white marble, the figure shows some beautiful carvings of golden works and the smiling faces of the godheads. In the Bhagavad Gita, part of the epic Mahabharata, there is a point in the discourse between Arjuna and Krishna wherein Arjuna asks the Lord for a vision of his true form. Krishna grants this vision, both glorious and terrifying, in which Arjuna sees the entire universe inside Krishna. This great form of Krishna is called virat-rupa (omnipresent or vast form). The hands of the godheads as well as their headgears have some beautiful golden works on them. The yellow and green drapery is also impressive.

DESCRIPTION:
A seamless blend of fable and philosophy, the Bhagavata Purana is perhaps the most revered text in the Vaishnava tradition. It brings to life the legends of gods, asuras, sages and kings-all the while articulating the crucial ethical and philosophical tenets that underpin Hindu spiritualism.
The narrative unfolds through a series of conversations and interconnected stories. We are told how the sage Vyasa was inspired by Narada to compose the Bhagavata Purana as a means to illumine the path to a spiritual life. We learn of the devotion of Prahlada, the austerity of Dhruva, and the blinding conceit of Daksha. Also recounted are tales of the many incarnations of Vishnu, especially Krishna, whom we see grow from a beloved and playful child to a fierce protector of the faithful.
