Lord Krishna is holding ladoos in his both hands. One of the most widely worshipped gods in Hinduism, the Lord is standing on a podium and his body is given a detail and fine touch. Krishna is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu and he took birth to eliminate his maternal uncle Kansha. Lord Krishna was born of Devki, sister of Kansha. Kansha was aware of his death and so he killed other children of Devki. Kansha was told by Akashvani that he will be killed by Devki's eighth son. But the moment Krishna was born in the prison he was handed over to Nandalal who had taken care of Krishna. The birth and the subsequent rearing of Krishna constitute a popular mythology for Hindus. Lord Krishna’s birthday is celebrated as Janmashtami Festival throughout the country. The festival is celebrated with grandeur and people welcome the advent of the Lord.

Description
The beautiful brass figure of Lord Krishna with four arms is given a fine and detail treatment. The headgear of the Lord is highly decorated and the Lord is wearing beautiful drapery. Lord Krishna is playing his immortal flute. His tune mesmerized hundreds of followers in Vrindaban. Lord Krishna is one of the most popular deities in Hinduism and he is considered an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Lord Krishna was also hugely popular among young gopis in Vrindavan. A deep sense of accomplishment and satisfaction marks the figure. On his two arms the Lord is holding his weapons and with his two hands he is playing the flute. The figure may look a bit rough but it reveals a master craftsmanship on the part of the sculptor as he has dealt with prominent parts of the Lord with equal artistry.

The four headed god is standing tall and the Lord is wearing fine drapery and his body is given a refine and detail touch. Here the Lord is depicted with four hands- the upper pair of hands carrying sankha and chakra, and the lower pair, a (golden) leech (jalookaa-medical term Hirudo Medicinalis) and kamandalu (pitcher). Worshipped as the Hindu God of Medicine, the Master of Universal Knowledge, Physician of Gods and the Guardian Deity of Hospitals, Dhanvantari is regarded as the original exponent of Indian medical tradition called AYURVEDA, the ‘eternal science of life.’ This tradition is now accepted as the oldest, most original and unbroken medical system of the world. There are many myths and legends about Dhanvantari. Sometimes he is shown with the text of the Ayurveda and sometime with a tulasi-seed garland around his neck and a plant-wreath halo. His complexion is blue, making him another incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The leech was part of the doctor’s kit in olden days since it was used to suck out impure blood from the patient‘s body.
