Lord Shiva Mahadev - Lost Wax Sculpture
Lord Shiva Mahadev - Lost Wax Sculpture

In this dhokra sculpture, the Lord Shiva is depicted in a meditative mode with trident on his left hand. One of the Trinity Gods in Hinduism, the other two being Lord Brahma and Vishnu, Lord Shiva is responsible for the destruction of the evil forces. Such a destruction is the immediate prelude to a new beginning. An excellent example of the ancient dhokra technique, the statuette is created through a laborious lost wax process associated with the tribal groups of northern India. A model is sculpted of clay and dried in the sun; it is then covered with beeswax and more clay, forming a mold. The piece is cast, cleaned and again dried in the sun. Finally, it is heated in the ground for five days and polished.

The Vajradhara Buddha is the source of all the manifestations of enlightenment. Vajradhara is central to the Kagyu lineage because Tilopa received the vajrayana teachings directly from vajradhara, the dharmakaya buddha. The Humble Hanuman
              The Humble Hanuman
The beautiful brass figure of Sankat Mochan Lord Hanuman is nicely designed with a deep sense of finesse. His jaw is more prominent even as the Lord is shown with folded hands. He is wearing fine clothes and his body is also given a delicate design. Here a deep sense of humility is manifest in Hanuman's face. Every morning, especially Monday, chant this mantra about Hanuma: Aum aeem bhreem hanumate, shree ram dootaaya namaha’ and you will be blessed with power and energy.
Hanuman means "one with prominent or disfigured jaw". According to another theory, his name derives from the Sanskrit terms Han ("killed" or "destroyed") and maana (pride); the name implies "one whose pride was destroyed".
Lord Rama summarizes attributes of Hanuman's personality in the following manner. He is the ablest sentence maker, He is the know-er of all Vedas and Scriptures, He is the scholar in nine schools of grammars and one who is possessing faultless speech and facial features.
From Brahma Hanuman obtained the power of inducing fear in enemies, of destroying fear in friends, to be able to change his form at will and to be able to easily travel wherever he wished. From Shiva he obtained the boons of longevity, scriptural wisdom and ability to cross the ocean. Shiva assured safety of Hanuman with a band that would protect him for life. Indra blessed him that the Vajra weapon will no longer be effective on him and his body would become stronger than Vajra. Varuna blessed baby Hanuman with a boon that he would always be protected from water. Agni blessed him with immunity to burning by fire. Surya gave him two siddhis of yoga namely "laghima" and "garima", to be able to attain the smallest or to attain the biggest form.
