‘When you are courting a nice girl an hour seems like a second. When you sit on a red-hot cinder a second seems like an
hour. That's relativity.’
Dealing with the theory of relativity—special relativity and general relativity—and the considerations on the universe as a  whole, this book gives an insight into the scientific theory about the relationship between space and time, the theory of
gravitation and the universe.
A Nobel laureate, Einstein’s research and theories changed the world. First published in 1916, Relativity: The Special and the General Theory is regarded as the most significant work in modern physics. It continues to remain popular and highly
influential.

About the Author

Regarded as the founder of modern physics, Albert Einstein was born in 1879, in Ulm, Kingdom of Württemberg, German Empire. He completed his Ph.D. from the University of Zürich in 1905 and published four papers in the scientific journal
named Annalen der Physik. These papers on photoelectric effect, Brownian motion, special relativity and mass-energy equivalence (E = mc2) were significant contributors to the foundation of modern physics. In the next few years, Einstein came to be recognized as a major scientist. He developed the general theory of relativity between 1907 and 1915. It was published in 1915. In 1916, Einstein published Relativity: The Special and the General Theory in German. Its first English translation was published in 1920. In 1921, Einstein was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics “for his services to Theoretical Physics and especially for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect.” He published numerous scientific and non-scientific works. Today there is a new battle going on over the 'idea of India', with some groups questioning if there ever was any real nation called 'India' prior to the British rule. Challenging this notion are those who claim that India has a profound national and cultural heritage since ancient times and was one of the main centres of civilization in the world, with its own characteristic ideals and practices born of dharma and yoga.

The Constitution speaks of India that is Bharata, proclaiming this ancient name for the country. If we look at India as Bharata, the idea of the country and its unique identity and history become clear.

Awaken Bharata is a plea for that eternal India to awaken and reclaim its esteemed place as the guru of nations, expressing once more its vast civilizational ethos. The book encourages a new vision of the country, linking its magnificent past with a more brilliant future. It emphasizes the role of a new 'intellectual kshatriya'-intellectual warriors of dharma-to challenge the inimical forces seeking to deny or displace India's great civilization.

DESCRIPTION:
Life is not a matter of chance. It is a matter of choice. In fact life is a series of choices. Happiness is a choice. So is misery. Honesty is a choice; so is dishonesty. However, in essence, the only choice every human ever has is to allow either internal voices to influence one’s external choices; or to allow others’ external choices to influence internal voices. By tuning in to one’s inner voice, ably guided by the time-tested wisdom of scriptures, one learns the fine art of voicing his choice; thereby becomes like a coconut – tough externally but soft internally and lasting many seasons. But if one chooses to hear others voices, then one becomes like a lichee -soft and sweet externally but hiding a seed of internal frustration and eventually lasting only one short season. ‘Voice Your choice’, is a collection of thought provoking articles that distill the mature wisdom of Mahabharata and Ramayana to assist one in empowering the inner voice.
