DESCRIPTION:
He appears out of nowhere in a sleepy little neighbourhood in suburban Kerala. He calls himself Shunya, the zero. Who is he? A lunatic? A dark magician? A fraud? Or an avadhuta, an enlightened soul?

Saami—as they call him—settles into a small cottage in the backyard of the local toddy shop. Here he spins parables, blesses, curses, drinks endless glasses of black tea and lives in total freedom. On rare occasions, he plays soul-stirring melodies on his old, bamboo-reed flute.

Then, just as mysteriously as he arrived, Shunya vanishes, setting the path for a new avadhuta, a new era.

This first novel by Sri M is a meditation on the void which collapses the wall between reality and make-believe, the limited and the infinite. With its spare storytelling and profound wisdom, it leads us into the realm of ‘shunya’, the nothingness of profound and lasting peace, the beginning and end of all things.

DESCRIPTION:
Dilli Darbaar is the story of a young, jovial, techno-geek called Rahul Mishra, and his journey from being a careless flirt to a responsible man. Rahul moves from a small town to Delhi for better future prospects, and this brings about changes in his life and lifestyle to which he must adapt. His mantra in life is there is always a shortcut to success which he ironically proves right through his own eccentric ways. Dilli Darbaar is also about Paridhi, a typical East Delhi girl, and her path, as well as Rahul s, to finding the meaning of love, trust, friendship and life.

As we manoeuvre the many demands of relationships, career, property and
health, we often sense a void, a feeling of alienation from our true selves. Is
it possible for one planet to orbit so many suns? We have many centres in
our lives, yet where is the true centre, the deepest centre that lies at the core
of every heart?

Ensconced in India’s ageless oral tradition, Kamlesh D. Patel—widely
known as Daaji, the fourth guru in the Heartfulness lineage—traces a
seeker’s journey as he examines the nature of spiritual search. Through a
series of illuminating conversations between a teacher and a student, Daaji
reveals the core principles of the Heartfulness practice and philosophy to
Joshua Pollock, a Heartfulness practitioner and trainer.

From reflecting on the essence of prayer and yogic transmission to
demystifying the act of meditation through practical tips, this book will
enable us to live beyond the filters of our sensory limitations and discover
unity within ourselves. To practise Heartfulness is to seek the essence
beyond the form, the reality behind the ritual. It is to centre oneself at the
core of one’s heart and find true meaning and contentment there.

DESCRIPTION:
The story of a profound and beautiful guru-shishya relationship In the impoverished village of Rikhia, a forgotten corner of northern India, its primarily aboriginal Santali population subsisted without electricity, water, roads, or sanitation. Malnutrition, disease and illness were par for the course of their collective lives. Until. . . Today, there has been a 360-degree transformation in this community. You can see well-fed toddlers playing on quiet roadsides, calling out 'Namo Narayan!' to passers-by, older children cycling to well-attended schools, and everyone busy in a productive and positive way. How did that come about? That is the story Barbara Pidgeon tells
us and, in doing so, reveals the extraordinary lives of the two people, the principal architects of this change and their relationship to one another. One of them, the guru, Swami Satyananada, a stalwart of yogic philosophy, founder of the Bihar School of Yoga, and the other, his disciple, Swami Satyasangananda, one of the few women
sannyasins. This book gives an insight into both these deeply spiritual and extraordinary people from whose lives we have many lessons to learn.

About the Author

Barbara Pidgeon grew up in Scotland but has spent much of her adult life in several countries around the world. As an expatriate worker she always endeavoured to understand the diverse cultures she felt privileged to work and live amongst and would seek firsthand experience in their cultural and spiritual practices. Her many enriching experiences over the years led her to a rural spot in Jharkand, India where she met her guru Swami Swami Satyasangananda Saraswati who s story she had the great honour to write about in this book.

Currently, she lives in London researching how humans breathe, a topic that she finds incredulous that we know so little of and one that will be the subject of her next book.

Spiritual life coach Shubha Vilas tells you how, with the help of six beautiful love stories from the scriptures. Nala and Damayanti, Krishna and Rukmini, Shakuntala and Dushyanta, Udayana and Vasavadatta, Satyavan and Savitri, Draupadi and the five Pandava brothers—these are accounts we may have heard many a time but have not had an opportunity to under stand in such depth and detail, and with such empathy.
