When you don't even have clothes for job interviews, all of a sudden life gives you a wake up call and you realize you have got to work extremely hard to make it happen for you." Indra Nooyi's meteoric rise and success has been charted by every newspaper and business journal in the world but how many of us know the person behind the image? One of the most admired figures from the last century, Albert Einstein's contributions to science, particularly theoretical physics, are unparalleled. How did Einstein's achievements translate into our daily lives? And what was he like as a person? In this book, Virender Kapoor analyses every facet of Einstein's life and personality. He shows how Einstein's contributions went far beyond the field of science-he was an active supporter of human rights, a generous donor and remarkably detached from material possessions. Einstein also knew how to use his imagination productively, employ communication skills effectively and above all, keep his sense of humour intact. It was these qualities and others that made him the man he was, and understanding and absorbing them would also help others go a long way as well, in any time and at any place. Containing powerful truths in simple, lucid words, Innovation: the Einstein Way is a must-read for everyone, irrespective of their fields of interest, to understand how to utilize their strengths to the fullest.

Inscriptions of the Sarabhapuriyas, Panudvamsins and Somavamsins (2 Vols.)
This work is a product of the Inscriptions of India Programme of the Indian Council of Historical Research undertaken with a view to making inscriptions dating from circa sixth to fourteenth century a.d. available in handy volumes. Part I studies the inscriptions of the Sarabhapuriyas, Panduvamsins and Somavamsins who played a major role in shaping the destinies of the Chhattisgarh region of Madhya Pradesh (Kosala) and the adjoining region of Orissa from about the sixth to the early twelfth century a.d. It provides a background to the study of the inscriptions by attempting to deal with their formal aspects like the format, palaeography, language, orthography, contents and methods of dating and to trace, for the first time, the evolution of their draft. Dharmasastra injunctions regarding the preparation of deeds of land-grants and their actual epigraphic parallels have also been discussed at length. The work sheds welcome light on the chronology and history of the region during the period in question and offers several original suggestions basing on fresh discoveries and new interpretation of known records. With its many interesting features, the work will surely be found enlightening by students and researchers delving deep into early Indian history and epigraphy.

Vimala Thakar gave a series of inspired talks on the Bhagavad Gita in three separate seminars, during 1992 and 1993 in Italy. To her Bhagavad Gita is very sacred because it deals with the organic wholeness of life; and the inbuilt complexity of life, It affirms the interplay between the micrecosm and macrocosm and persuadesus to remain united with the ultimate reality, not only to intellectual understanding, but through everything that we do, at every moment.
