Description
The beautiful Kalamkari painting of the "Lord Hanuman is given a refine and detail treatment with some nice designs. The great devotee of Ram is carrying the mountain on his left hand and his weapon on his right hand. His body is painted indigo and Hanuman is wearing some jewelries. When Lakshman, the brother of Ramcahndra was hurt by an arrow, the physician suggested that only the herbs from the Dronagiri mountains could cure him. Unable to recognize the particular herb, Hanuman lifted the entire mountains.

Here triumphant child Krishna is painted dancing over the vanquished heads of Kalia, the nag. The snakes poisoned the waters of Yamuna and it was Lord Krishna who vanquished the snakes. As Krishan is dancing over the heads of the snake, his wives are pleading for mercy in front of the Lord. Here colour patterns are nicely used and even the borders of the Kalamkari painting are also beautifully used. One of the most popular genres of folk paintings in India, Kalamkari paintings flourished in Andhra Pradesh.

A riot of colours, the beautiful Kalamkari painting reveals the beauty of the tree full of leaves. The painting is being given a royal and colourful treatment by the artists of Andhra Pradesh. The painting reveals s greater degree of gracefulness and feminine nature. The resplendent tree is indeed a masterpiece in the traditional Kalamkari style of painting. The effulgence of colours and the characters that emerge on cotton fabric, help create a resplendent spread in the painting.
