DESCRIPTION:
Mahamanav Shri Krishna - A number of texts presenting the biography, green, character and epic of Shri krishna in many languages of the world have been written for many centuries and will continue to be written. In the last fifty years, many able and famous writers of Gujarat have started writing biographies depicting Krishna's life in a modern context. Unfortunately, instead of introducing or interpreting the ancient traditions of Krishna's life in these biographies, these Shabda swamis have blown up balloons of their own imagination. Has added fictional occasions, characters and dialogues that are not in the ancient tradition. One such character writer has made Krishna Madari to explain the occasion of Kaliyadaman. Whatever the literary value of such additions, it is true that such representations are corrupting the ancient traditions instead of making them clear. A humble attempt has been made here to collect the fragments of the scattered tradition in the scriptures of a thousand years ago and present them in an integrated form and to capture the image of the human form of Lord Krishna, the supreme devotee of the Hindus.

Description
The beautiful Madhubani painting depicts the ferocious Goddess Kali trampling over the sleeping Shiva in a most refine manner. The ferocious Goddess is wearing a garlands of beheaded skulls and blood is dripping from her bulging tongue. Madhubani style of painting is marked by line drawings filled in by bright colours and contrasts or patterns. Though traditionally done by the women folk of the region, nowadays men are also involved in the process. These are basically tribal art which are marked by the application of strong earthly colours. Madhubani paintings are done with mineral pigments prepared by the artists. The work is done on freshly plastered or a mud wall. But nowadays, to meet the growing commercial demand, such paintings are also done on paper, cloth and canvas.

Lord Shiva, the God of destruction, is also depicted as the master dancer. He is called Nataraj, the Lord of Dance and the beautiful Batik painting portrays his image in a classic manner. The heavily ornate body of the Lord swings in the mode of dance and it paints a totally different image of the God who is normally identified with destruction. The method of waxing and dewaxing has given rise to a special effect to the painting.
The beautiful image of the apostle of truth and non-violence, Lord Gautam Buddha, has been cast in the traditional Batik style. The Lord, seated in a meditative posture, is surrounded by a host of animals that shows how the Buddha is preaching his non-violence towards all human beings as well as the animals. He is preaching his disciples about the spirit of non-violence and truth. The figure of the apostle of truth has been given a magestic treatment by the painter and the method of dewaxing has given an appealing and resplendent impact to the painting.
