DESCRIPTION:
Introduction

In Krsna-Sandarbha, Srila Jiva Gosvami explicitly endeavors to prove once and for all that Sri Krsna is the original Personality of Godhead, ad all other forms of Godhead are His expansions. In this volume, we also see some quotations from the Sarva-samvadini, which is Jiva Gosvami commentary on his own Sat-sandarbha.

In the Krsna-sandarbha itself, second-to-last text, the purpose of the book is very succinctly stated: The description of sambandha (the relationship between the individual living entities and the Supreme Personality of Godhead), which was begun in the Tattva-sandarbha, and continued in the Bhagavat-sandarbha ad Paramatma-sandarbha, is now concluded in this Krsna-sandarbha. In the next book (Srimad-bhakti-sandarbha), I shall describe abhidheya (devotional service, or the activities of the relationship between the individual living entities and the Supreme Lord) and in the last book (Priti-sandarbha), I shall describe prayojana (pure love for Krsna, the result of engaging in the activities of devotional service).

That Sri Krsna is the original Supreme Personality of Godhead (as the sruti-mantra explains: Sri Krsna, accompanied by Srimati Radharani, is the original Supreme Personality of Godhead) has been explained in this Krsna-sandarbha.

In his purport to the first verse of Srimad-Bhagavatam, Srila Prabhupada has written: Sri Vyasadeva asserts herein that Sri Krsna is the original personality of Godhead, and all others are His direct or indirect plenary portions or portions of the portion. Srila Jiva Gosvami has even more explicitly explained the subject matter in his Krsna-sandarbha.

Sri Lakshmi Narayan - Tribal Art Figure
Sri Lakshmi Narayan - Tribal Art Figure

The God Vishnu (also called Narayan), one of the Trinity, and His consort Lakshmi are crafted out of brass in a most exquisite manner. Lord Vishnu is the preserver of the Universe and Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth. The work is crafted with the ancient dhokra technique, a laborious lost wax process practiced in the region. First, a model is sculpted of clay and dried in the sun; it is then covered with beeswax and more clay, forming a mold. The piece is cast, cleaned and again dried in the sun. Finally, it is heated in the ground for five days and polished.

DESCRIPTION:
Lalita Sahasranama (IAST: lalitāsahasranāma) is a text from Brahmanda Purana. It is a sacred text to the Hindu worshippers of the Goddess Lalita Devi, i.e. the Divine Mother or Goddess Durga, in the form, Shakti. Lalitha is the Goddess of bliss, an epithet for Shiva's wife Goddess Parvati. Etymologically, "Lalitha" means "She Who Plays". In the root form (vyutpatti), the word "Lalitha" means "spontaneous" from which the meaning "easy" is derived and implicitly extends to "play". Lalita Sahasranamam contains the thousand names of the Hindu mother goddess Lalita.[1] The names are organized in a hymns (stotras). It is the only sahasranama that does not repeat a
single name. Further, in order to maintain the meter, sahasranamass use the artifice of adding words like tu, api, ca, and hi, which are conjunctions that do not necessarily add to the meaning of the name except in cases of interpretation. The Lalita sahasranama does not use any such auxiliary conjunctions and is unique in being an
enumeration of holy names that meets the metrical, poetical and mystic requirements of a sahasranama by their order
