The resplendent effect in the Kalamkari painting is manifest with some sharp lines and beautiful patterns of colours. The tree with leaves is given a detail and royal treatment. Developed in the temple region of Andhra Pradesh (Kalahasti), Kalamkari is a traditional painting style with strong line drawings.
