He instructed his chief court painter Nihal Chand to paint Radha, the consort of Krishna drawing inspiration from Bani Thani. As Sawant Singh had completely given himself to Bani Thani, she also completely entrusted herself to him. Sawant Singh went to Mt. Govardhan along with Bani Thani where Krishna had lifted the Mt. Govardhan on his index finger to safeguard the people of Brij from the wrath of Indra. He and Bani Thani sang devotional songs and later came to Mathura the birthplace of Krishna. Bani Thani came to be known as Rasik Bihari and composed the hymns for the priest Hari Das. She died a year after her lord Nagari Das.

A seires of books on different facets of Ayurveda were written by the Eminent vaidyas based on their experimentations and observations, duly following the basic principles and tenets of Samhita kala Ayurveda, these works nourished and enriched the ancient medicine to evolve, expand and enlarge further.

'Sri Basava Rajiyam' is one such contribution from Andhra Pradesh, it was written is Sanskrit and partly in telugu language roughly around, 1764-1797 AD but published first time in, 1913- 1919 in Madras. प्रख्यात हिन्दी कवि हरिवंशराय ‘बच्चन’ की आत्मकथा का पहला खंड, ‘‘क्या भूलूँ क्या याद करूँ’’, जब 1969 में प्रकाशित हुआ तब हिन्दी साहित्य में मानो हलचल-सी मच गई। यह हलचल 1935 में प्रकाशित ‘‘मधुशाला’’ से किसी भी प्रकार कम नहीं थी। अनेक समकालीन लेखकों ने इसे हिन्दी के इतिहास की ऐसी पहली घटना बताया जब अपने बारे में इतनी बेबाक़ी से सब कुछ कह देने का साहस किसी ने दिखाया। इसके बाद आत्मकथा के आगामी खंडों की बेताबी से प्रतीक्षा की जाने लगी और उन सभी का ज़ोरदार स्वागत होता रहा। प्रथम खंड ‘‘क्या भूलूँ क्या याद करूँ’’ के बाद ‘‘नीड़ का निर्माण फिर’’, ‘‘बसेरे से दूर’’ और ‘‘‘दशद्वार’ से ‘सोपान’ तक’’ लगभग पंद्रह वर्षों में इसके चार खंड प्रकाशित हुए। बच्चन की यह कृति आत्मकथा साहित्य की चरम परिणति है और इसकी गणना कालजयी रचनाओं में की जाती है।
